Put your dancing shoes on and enjoy all your old favourites given new life by world-class covers outfit Automatic 80s. Marvel at the incredible vocal range of frontman Justin Maclaren as he mirrors the greats, backed up by intense energy and on-stage antics. Lose yourself in the melodic voice of Pearl Runga (sister to Boh and Bic), and be wowed by the talent of the rest of the band: lead guitarist Danny McCrum (who’s previously supported Simple Minds, John Mayer and Eric Clapton), bassist Clint Harris of Opshop & The Feelers, and drummer Jayden Lee of Alae.

After five successful previous years, The Coast 80s Bash promises to be bigger and better than ever for 2018. With a production crew devoted to qualitysound, great lighting and electric atmosphere, it’s looking like the ultimate 80s concert experience in the heart of Orewa. It’s all for a good cause too, with the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Brigade confirmed as the event’s charity partner.

So take a trip down memory lane, and enjoy a night of music and mingling. It’s a little bit different – and a little bit of an insight into what makes life in this community so unique, vibrant and fun.
